Ants
Diet : Ants eat basically anyhting from plants to other insects because they are omnivorous.
Habitat : Most types of ants life in dirt, leaf litter, or decaying plants.
Lifespan : Worker ants can live 7-8 years and queen ants can live up to 30 years.
Predators : Fish, lizards, birds, bears, anteaters, and coyotes.
Number Of Species In The World : 12,000 ants for each species.
Scientific Name : Formicidae.
Beetles
Diet : Most beetles eat plants but some species eat fungus, animal proteins, other beetles, and mammal feces.
Habitat : Most beetles live on the ground or under something but some live in vegatation, rotting wood, plants, fungus, feces, carrion and even some live in water.
Lifespan : Most usaully live 30-90 days but bettles can live up to 3 years.
Predators : Birds, spiders, ants, other bettles, and frogs.
Number Of Species In The World : There are over 300,000 species in the world.
Scientific Name : Coleoptera.
Bees
Diet : Bees eat bee bread and honey.
Habitat : Orchards, gardens, woodlands, meadows and other places with many flowers.
Lifespan : The queens livespan is 3-5 years and the other bees can live for a few weeks or months.
Predators : Ambush bugs, praying mantises, dragon flies, and spiders.
Number Of Species In The World : Over 20,000.
Scientific Name : Apis mellifera.
Butterflies
Diet : Nutrients found in flowers such as nectar and others, and they drink water as well.
Habitat : Places with little trees as in prairies, tundras, fields, wetlands, forests which have many trees, and any open area that is full of sunshine.
Lifespan : The average lifespan of a butterfly is about 2-4 weeks but it varies er species.
Predators : Frogs, lizards, toads, chameleons, and birds.
Number Of Species In The World : Around 20,000.
Scientific Name : Lepidoptera.
Centipedes
Diet : Small animals, cockroaches, crickets, earthworms, moths, and silverfish.
Habitat : Moist areas as in soil, under rocks, leaf litter, logs and bark.
